If you now understand how each element of the Post Builder works, it’s time to see how we can use it in the best possible way. If you’re still unsure about how the plugin works, check out Using APB Settings and Getting Started With Post Builder.
There are a handful of elements of your article, published through Post Builder, that you can focus on. Namely:
- Introduction
- Product name
- Pros and cons
- Highlighted features
- Star rating
Let’s get to how you can make your review articles shine bright like a diamond.
Introduction
To start off, we need to understand that the introductory passages of your article are very important. They are, in a way, the making or breaking part of your post.
It is also essential to note that in review articles, the reader is more interested in what you have to say about the actual products that your article is promising than anything else. This makes the introduction that much trickier since you need to catch the reader within a hundred words or so.
Make sure that you state the problem, discuss the related issues, and give the solution. The promise of that will take the reader onward.
Product Name
The product name is important. Mostly, we just pluck the entire name from the Amazon listing which contains so many words, mainly adjectives, that the reader ends up skimming over the whole thing.
The Data Fetcher will populate the field with the full Amazon name for the product, and you can keep it like that if you wish to. However, it is advisable that you only keep the strictly relevant words in the product title, such as the name of the brand, any codes that might be needed to differentiate the product, and any particular adjectives that set that product apart from others.

Pros and Cons
Pros and cons are a very important part of your product review. This is essentially what the reader will focus on when looking for a quick guide as to whether or not they should click through to Amazon.
Make sure to mention all the advantages that the product has to offer, and do not hesitate to discuss the disadvantages as well.
You are, after all, catering to the user and not to the product.

Highlighted Features
The highlighted features section in the Post Builder is super important because it is repeated at the bottom of your product review as Specs Recap, just above the Amazon button.
Make sure you mention all the features that make the product stand out. These highlighted features are how you will convince your readership that they absolutely need to have the item in their possession.
You can write these features yourself if you want to. Otherwise, the Data Fetcher will pull the highlighted features directly from the Amazon listing, and all that’s left for you to do is review and edit accordingly.

Star Rating
As affiliate marketers, it is one of the top goals to establish yourself as a brand. You can do that with a fair bit of hard work, by reviewing transparently and always focusing on the user intent.
An established readership will value your personal rating of the item. This is where the star rating comes in. Your brand’s very own star rating will give the readers a more personal look into what you think about the product. They might even value it more than what the users are saying on Amazon itself.
